WASHINGTON—Republican lawmakers expressed concern and frustration over reports that President Donald Trump disclosed classified information in a meeting with Russian officials last week, while Democrats emphasized that the news, if true, could put American intelligence relationships at risk.

Mr. Trump revealed highly classified intelligence information about the fight against Islamic State during last week’s Oval Office meeting with Russian officials, according to U.S. officials. The intelligence was provided by a foreign government and its disclosure jeopardized the source, the officials said.
